COMMENTS:
Who are these so-called POW's?
You
Actually you raise an interesting point, most of them, probably them all, are civilians, picked up at random from the streets of Kabul and Baghdad, by local gangsters who were paid as much as $25,000 by American forces.
no i do not think i could torture anyone, even if i actually felt they deserved it - i don't think i could do it.
The people you are talking about are not POW's, they are enemy combatants. And now that there is some reality on the Supreme Court I think that you will find that your juvenile, unsubstantiated arguments will have even less force than they do now.
I_R, did you know that 66% of those in Abu Ghraib weren't charged with anything? So much for your enemy combatants comment. If you think that torturing enemy combatants is ok then would you say it's ok if the Iraqis tortured US pows (which hasn't happened yet)?
That also includes the number of children you would be torturing. Afterall you don't want those 9 year olds growing up to become America's enemies (hence the US will probably be there for another 10 years and in that time they would have been 19).
Too bad everything you say is more or less lies.
I would tortue some of the people who post here. That is for sure.
The CIA is aware that the vast majority of detainees are not terrorists, proven by the fact that Pakistani gangsters admitted to rounding up innocent people in street sweeps and selling them to the US government as terrorists for anything up to $25,000. Only nine so-called 'terrorists' have been brought to trial and none have been convicted. These completely innocent individuals have to be held in inhumane conditions for FOUR YEARS without trial with no proof that they can be convicted with. Images of mass ranks of terrorists are pure visual lies.
Oh well I guess they shouldn't have been carrying those guns and handing out cliterectomies to all the women in town. Of cours the terrorists are innocent and the american troops are the villains.
A recent PBS documentary highlighted the case of Brig. Gen. Rick Baccus, a former Commander at Guantanamo Bay, who was fired for refusing to torture detainees.
That isn't what that special was about. You can't just make things up and expect to be taken seriously.
Why should anyone take you seriously IR, seriously?
^Because he's some 14 year old trying to act intelligent when he's really not. "I would tortue some of the people who post here." Good for you! Now you can run for the Republican Senate.
Two idiots don't make one smart person.
The two idiots being Inter and Regnum
