COMMENTS:
It's a popular fearmongering myth among those rabid anti-Muslim types. Ain't gonna happen.

Maybe that's why they are against stem cell research ... they area fraid that Muslim extremists will create a Clone Army.
by Cathexis on Wed Dec 14, 05 9:35am [+]

Wake me up when that happens.
by Dingleberry on Wed Dec 14, 05 9:43am [+]

Scare tactics, pure and simple. A rallying point of fear to gather the masses about.
by Truthseeker013 on Wed Dec 14, 05 10:40am [+]

It's simple population statistics.

Native europeans are not breeding. They have about 1 kid per couple, so the population of native europeans is shrinking.

The population ofmuslims is increasing, rapidly. They have much larger families and are immigrating in to europe at an impressive rate (how many europeans are immigrating in to europe?).

It doesn't matter if the population is small now, it won't be forever. This is a matter of statistics, and if you look them up you'll see that if things don't change radically then europe will be muslim by the year 2050.

I don't see why people are so violently opposed to this idea, it's based on mathematics. I know I know, math is racist, but in this case they have a point. Besides, it doesn't matter who is living there right? If the muslims are the dominate group why does that bother all the enlightened liberals who are above such things?

But hey, whites once represented 0% of the population of north america, clearly the indians would always be the dominate ethnic group, right?
by herzog on Wed Dec 14, 05 10:43am [+]

Look, I'll simplify it for you people;

A country is made up of two groups, population A and population B. A makes up 90% of the country (clearly they are dominate). But they are reproducing a rate which cannot sustain their numbers, every year they produce half as many babies as they need to stay even. Population B, which is clearly the minority, is breeding rapidly, and every year their population doubles.

Now here's the question: will population A always be dominate, or is there some point in the future when B overtakes them, assuming things stay as they are?
by herzog on Wed Dec 14, 05 10:46am [+]

But of course, a well entrenched native population can never lose their majority status to immigrants, that's why australia belongs to the aborigines, north and south american to the indians, britain to the celts, the entire middle east to the jews, the southern US states are still a majority white (no hispanics here), and why neanderthals still dominate in europe to this day.

Yep, once a majority always a majority, I can't think of any time in history when a minority group came to one day be the dominate ethnic group anywhere, ever. Entirely impossible.
by herzog on Wed Dec 14, 05 11:01am [+]

Militants only account for a small percentage of the entire Muslim population, so if it happens, so what?
by xxxxxxxx on Wed Dec 14, 05 11:44am [+]

God forbid such a thing !

People who believe that are looking mostly at Britain where the muslim population is somewhat high.

While that is not at all the case in the rest of Europe especially the eastern part.

For instance in Poland there are 0 muslims and that will never change !

Also keep in mind that Most of Europe is Roman Catholic and not accepting of muslims nor will it ever be so such an invasion would be immpossible.

by babcia on Wed Dec 14, 05 1:29pm [+]

Higher birth rate over time will accomplish this. There are numerous studies that document this. It really isn't bias, it is just reality.
by FiddleFaddleOnLSD on Wed Dec 14, 05 1:29pm [+]

Islam is presently the fastest growing religion in the West, due to three factors, immigration, birth rate, and, conversion. But even so, it would still take a long time for Islam to become the dominant religion in the U.S. or Europe. And if it did, so what? All the pro-Israel lobbyists who are crapping out their gefilte fish over the thought of a West that is predominantly Muslm ignore the possibility that Islam may become westernized over time, and may move away from the primitive cultural mentality that seems to be the norm in equatorial nations. Geez, aren't those Mexican Catholics a progressive, modern bunch, though? Those Filipino Catholics are certainly the center of the civilized world. As Islam spreads to the West it may very well develop it's own, civilized, progressive identity, despite the fact that the Middle Eastern Muslims are a bunch of angry, stupid ape-men, with brains made of camel-shit, many of whom are going to get their callused asses nuked, fairly soon, possibly.
by True_US on Wed Dec 14, 05 1:30pm [+]

Hey, didn't WWII begin with these kinds of attitudes towards the Jews in Europe?

I can't believe some people on this site.
by xxxxxxxx on Wed Dec 14, 05 2:00pm [+]

Civilisations rise and fall, if it is the destiny of Islam to dominate the world it will.

Herzog points to the population explosion in the Islamic community and the shrinking population of Europeans.

This is just a strawman argument, the population of Northen Ireland has been relatively the same for 50 years, Catholics tend to have more babies than Protestants owing to the 'rhythm method'.

Yet Protestants are still the majority.

Herzog doesnt really care about statistics or any other reasoned out argument, he just despises everything about the religion of Islam and everything it represents.
by Steelhamster on Wed Dec 14, 05 4:50pm [+]

It's just another myth made up by the rightwingers to put fear into the minds of the Europeans in order to gain more anti-Islam war support. The Nazis did it in WW2, claiming that Jews were trying to dominate Germany with their business' and political control (which was minor), and so the rightwingers (modern Nazis) are doing it again. Learn from the past people!!!

by seamus on Thu Dec 15, 05 3:12am [+]

herzog: You are making some huge assumptions in your fears re: rates of reproduction.

1. What are the initial numbers? A huge disparity (which exists)is a major factor.

2. What are the rates? e.g., If a huge population's rate decreases by 3% and a tiny population's rate increase increases by 10%, the huge population is still going to increase more rapidly in terms of absolute numbers.

Don't fall fo rteh paranoid and xenophobic 'they breed like rats' rants -- they are baseless.
by Cathexis on Thu Dec 15, 05 4:35am [+]

I know lots of Muslims, and they don't really want to help anyone take over the world.

What percentage of these Muslim immigrants actually help this conspiracy? Obviously it's only a tiny fraction, but just how much is it? Maybe her-blog has another un-named source he can quote.

the fastest growing religion with Hispanics in America is Islam

The second-largest religion in the world after Christianity, Islam is also the fastest-growing religion. In the United States, for example, nearly 80 percent of the more than 1,200 mosques have been built in the past 12 years.

Some scholars see an emerging Muslim renaissance as Islam takes root in many traditionally Christian communities.

Islam has drawn converts from all walks of life, most notably African-Americans. Former NAACP President Benjamin Chavis, who joined the Nation of Islam recently, personifies the trend.

"In societies where you have minorities that are discriminated against, I think they may find an appeal in Islam," said Waleed Kazziha of American University in Cairo.

Many moderate Islamic countries such as Turkey and Egypt are becoming more conservative.

Two decades ago, few middle-class Egyptian women wore scarves or veils on their heads. Now they crowd into special emporiums that advertise Islamic clothing.

The shift toward Islamic fundamentalism worries many in the secular world, a fear underscored when splinter groups target Westerners with violent attacks.

And for the Record - Nazism is not "abolished" it is alive and growing.

The neo-Nazi movement is alive and well in Germany, and gaining political strength and popularity. While the German government has attempted to legislate against their gatherings and the use of their symbolism, they’ve nevertheless found ways to circumvent attempts to suppress their organization. An attempt to ban their political party (NPD) was struck down by the German Constitutional Court, partially on the basis that there are divergences between the political party and the neo-Nazi movement, even though the NPD is seen as the political wing of the neo-Nazis. Now there is frightening evidence that the movement is forging ahead with plans to gain political legitimacy by means of winning seats in the Bundestag, Germany’s Parliament. It should be noted that the movement is currently regarded as a dangerous fringe element by a large majority of the population, and viewed with fear and suspicion by politicians currently in power. The German press expressed grave concern late last September when state elections in Saxony and Brandenburg awarded the NPD with nearly ten percent of the popular vote.

But here is the latest development. Germany’s two far-right political parties have formed a new alliance, and are expressing earnest determination to win seats in the German Parliament. The National Democratic Party (NPD, known as the neo-Nazi party) and the German People’s Union (NVU) have officially joined forces to achieve the goal of a prominent (and potentially violent) presence within the government. Their plan is to appear as a single entity on voting ballots during next year’s federal election, playing on many of the themes which were so effective five decades ago.

Germany, along with the rest of United Europe is a massive welfare state, seeing its financial resources being depleted, largely by resident foreigners, at an unsustainable pace. It is a situation that threatens the economic future of the entire European Union in its present configuration, and a theme that is gaining traction with growing numbers of voters in Germany.

Ominously, the political boss of the NPD, Udo Voigt, is promising violent retaliation against any who oppose them by force. And violence is the calling card and the legacy of the nationalist movement in Germany. Consider the following recent quote carried in the German publication, DEUTSCHE WELLE. NPD BOSS Udo Voigt declared that the combined force of the two parties would shake the mainstream parties to their core and that the far-right’s election campaigns would be such that the opposition would be unable to believe their eyes or ears. He gave no further details but offered a belligerent warning to those who wished to oppose them by force. ‘We will no longer be the whipping-boys of the left,’ said Voigt. ‘Whoever attacks us, should expect to get hurt,’ he said after listing various attacks on far right supporters.”
