Theres nothing to prove you just have to find it in yourself to believe.
If you yourself don't believe it to be true then no one can truly convince. Therfore no quantity of proof will do any good.

FiddleFaddleOnLSD- I could spend a lifetime trying to convince idiots that Santa doesn’t exist and even if I proved to everyone that he doesn’t own a home at the North Pole or have any documentation or archeological evidence to support his existence idiots might still claim that he exists in the hearts of children and that that is enough. It would be a waste of time, but people are killing each other over this god fantasy so I can state that getting people to accept the futility of believing in him is very important.

Do you actually think if God was removed from the equation, we would have peace on earth? If you do, you are just as naive as those children who believe in Santa Claus
Thing is, Larry. Most people are conditioned by their parents to believe in Religion, God etc. Then they say to you at the age of 7, 'Nah it's just pretend, Santa doesn't really exsist'. If they didn't! You'd be arguing the fact now, that Santa exsists. I think you get my meaning.

I'm not 7 anymore, my decision to continue believing in God is my choice. I've questioned it a lot, but my decision is to continue believing, I totally respect anyones right not to believe, why can't I have the same respect?
I would never make a ballot or say to someone who does not believe in God that they are idiots.

My point is religious teachings adapt to every thing about it that is disproved. Not to cleverly imo.

I wouldn't describe anyone as an idiot because of their beliefs. People who feel the need to express the view to me that God exists, cause me to express mine that he doesn't. I'm fine with what anyone believes, maybe I can't understand it, but I'm fine with it.

Robingaylord, EVERY credible philosopher, expert in logic, or scientist will tell that there is NO way to prove either that God EXISTS or DOES NOT EXIST, hence your arguments is pointless and irrelevant. You should be smart enough to realize that. It seems to me that you are on a "crusade" to convince people that there is no God. Why the HELL do you care? Worry about your own life.
It is like you think that if everyone thought like you (no religion), the world would be better. Isn't that a bit arrogant? I don't think so much of myself to think that I have all the answers. I find listening and learning to be more helpful. I sure am glad you have the answers. Wow, I guess this ballot convinced me to do what you say and ditch any religious or spiritual aspects of my life and then things will be JUST WONDERFUL! I'm sure everything will be just wonderful for everyone else. Isn't that your view?
Your example of "Santa" is irrelevant as well and your comment only shows your deeply ingrained hostility to people who have faith in a God.
Hey, welcome back... a few good ballots AND your ENDLESS crusade against religion. What did religion do to you that provokes such hostility? Give it a rest. Your other ballots are good, do those instead of being a broken record on this stuff.

Secondly for your information There is a European legend that states that there was a man by the name of Mikolaj who used up his whole wealth to deliver presents to villagers. So no there is no Santa Clause now, but their may have been one in the past.
So once again i will restate that there is no proof of God's existance, however you musent forget that there is absolutely nothing to disprove his existance either !
I can prove a God exists but I’m not sure what it’s really like. I mean if there was no creator is it just a coincidence Earth is just the right distance away from the sun and has just the right conditions to support life? What about the fact that Jupiter stops most comments heading for Earth or the fact that no one can make a house magically appear like the universe.

FFOLSD- This site would be crap without antagonists. Stop pretending that you don’t appreciate having your ideas challenged.
I only stated that a person (in this case an adult) that believes in Santa is an idiot; I could further amend that that person could only not be stupid if they are in fact insane. In any case I just thought that the irony would not be lost on most Americans since many churches try to recruit children, because of their perceived naivety. Most kids are so naïve that you can convince them to believe a fat man in a red suit has 2 of the Judeo-Christian-Islamic God’s greatest powers- omnipresence and omniscience. And even though they stop short of claiming that he is omnipotent he is powerful enough to complete super human tasks in an incredibly short period of time. We are told to fear both of them but because the preposterous gifts of God can only be received after you die there is never a time in which many people ever question his existence.
I have found that the Bible is of little use in the field of science or for use as a moral compass (since I don’t believe women should be subservient to men nor do I support slavery, etc.)
I don’t think I will “convert” people back to atheism. But I do hope that I can curb fanaticism by making people use their critical thinking skills a little more.
the_slav – Just because you say something is “god” doesn’t make it god. For something to have another name it must have something to distinguish itself. It’s a basic rule of grammar. Otherwise I could just claim my umbrella is god. I think pantheism is a copout. If I claimed that a used prophylactic I found on a subway was God I would be locked away. The best thing you can say about a guy that claims that God is just another word for nature is that he or she is a seriously bad speller.
Well kind of?How come all of a sudden...we just popped up?We must be here for a reason.We can just be beings living such a long life then just die and be nothing and be removed from existence.Then whats the point of us being born?If we go back to the situation we were before we were born?This cycle must have something,some meaning,to it!And all this complicated geometry the human body is made of,the way the brain,heart,every system in the body,is so complicted,it cant be just be built because of evolution.ANd the universe is so complex and built in a such a way...it cant just be a coincidence!Sorry,i know this isnt a proof,its impossible I guess,but I just have huge faith in God!:D

I am throwing the "critical thinking" back at you. There is no way to prove either point. A beginning logic class should show you that it is impossible to prove whether God exists or does not.
BTW, I like having my ideas challenged. When I have been wrong, I have conceded the point. Now, since your arguments on this case are invalid, it is time for you to do the same. You can go on and criticize the hypocrisy of religion, but you cannot win (nobody can) on proving or disproving God.
