[+] ballot by xxxxxxxx ACTIVE Tue Jan 24, 06 - Sun Oct 19, 08 Republicans claim that the Democrats were making "partisan political attacks" on Samuel Alito, claiming that Dems reduced the hearing to a GOP slam session because they were questioning Alito. Well last I checked, it was their fucking JOB to question him. That's what a hearing's for! Hell I watched a good amount of the hearings live and I couldn't see -- AT ALL -- how Democrats were attacking Alito as ruthlessly as Republicans were claiming (or as ruthlessly as Republicans attacked Democrats during the hearing). Since when did questioning a candidate at a hearing -- which is what the hearing was for -- become "partisan political attacks"? Since Democrats (gasp) decided to question a Bush appointee.
