Would you: A) Nickname him "Sheets" and "KKK" and remind people that he was in the Klan and speculate that he dropped out for no other reason than because it probably wouldn't endear him to the black electorate? ... or ... B) Remind people that this occurred over 60 years ago, was a part of his life a long time ago but isn't part of it at all anymore, and isn't one bit relevant to today's politics? I'd keep pressing his former status in the Klan. I'd demonstrate how it's completely irrelevant today. I would break into his house and tattoo "Former KKK member" on his forehead.
