[+] ballot by xxxxxxxx ACTIVE Wed Mar 08, 06 - Mon Dec 01, 08 I'm not quite sure how it happened, but the US baseball team -- a serious 'dream team,' with stars like Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, Mark Teixeira, Jason Varitek, Dontrelle Willis, Roger Clemens, and Johnny Damon, to name a few -- was upended by the Canadian team. Canada's team only had one bonafide star, and that's Jason Bay. Canada jumped out to an 8-0 lead behind the bats of Bay, Adam Stern, Justin Morneau, and Aaron Guiel (whom I know), and the pitching of minor-leaguer Adam Loewen. Once Loewen was pulled, the USA rallied to bring it to within two runs in the middle of the game. I ask this in a conflicted yet non-biased way: What are your thoughts on this upset? Is it a situation where any team can beat another on a given day, or did you think Canada just outhustled and outspirited the US? Basically any team can win on any given day.
