Whether you're for or against the war, somehow this just seems like the wrong attitude. And this was a bumper sticker with the Army Recruitment Center's LOGO on it! It just seems counterproductive to display something like that, especially in that sort of setting.

Yes -- the idea of encouraging people to flat-out go to war isn't good.
No -- people like war, it gives them motivation.
Not really, no more ignorant than "Give Peace A Chance"
Clever Advertising! - even if I don't like it..
It's obviously ironic humor

I think you've missed the point: they're mocking the anti-war movement and having a good chuckle all at the same time. They also are probably drawing in a specific target demographic for recruitment with this type of humor.

It's obvious that vehement leftists who oppose the war are not that same demographic...
