We seem to expect everything faster, anything less than the fastest is unacceptable. Whether it be waiting in line to get movie tickets, looking for a company to create profit on Wall Street, or looking for overall peace in Iraq, there seems to be a complete lack of tolerance in terms of any waiting period at all. You have businesses who think not about the future but sell off whole parts of themselves and let go of thousands of employees just to satisfy ‘next quarter’s profit statement’. Has this vastly undermined our society as a whole? Yes, this has undermined our society. No, this does not affect the strength of our society at all.
