I'm not contesting that I parked on the left side of the curb, for not only did I do that but I did it deliberately (it was easier to park). I got ticketed for parking with my left tires facing the curb. I didn't realize this was a law. I guess I don't see the inherent harm which makes this law necessary. I mean, I could understand if I parked on a very narrow part of a street or if I parked in a fire lane, or if it were a non-residential road, but the access to the car was still the same (if not safer because the driver's-side door was facing the sidewalk), and people could easily get through the street.
