DO HOME SCHOOLED CHILDREN MISS OUT ON AN IMPORTANT ASPECT OF SCHOOLING, SOCIAL INTERACTION AND DEALING WITH OTHERS?

I saw a national spelling bee a few years back, won by a complete flaked out freak of a girl who, surprise surprise, ended up being home schooled. She had absolutely no social skills whatsoever and appeared to be something akin to a cave girl, crawling out of some hole to make a fool of herself thru her strange expressions, mannerisms, and noises she was making for the entire time she was on stage.

Do home schooled children miss out on important parts of culture that are learned thru schooling with other children, mainly social interaction in dealing with other people your age, a building block to successful relationships later in life?

Yes
No
