COMMENTS:
China is no longer Communist- they are fascist. While that is a slight improvement, I am still not impressed with China.
The US was supposedly founded on freedom of speech, religion, and expression. Need I say more? Political parties and systems tend to sell out after the first 50 years.
This Chinese policy reminds me of the Soviet Constitution. The Soviets had a constitution that was a beautiful document. It was full of rights and protection for all its citizens, and it ensured the election of public officials by democratic process. The problem was, that there was a tier of Soviet Party Officials and policies above the constitution, and hence, it did nothing. The Chinese got into power, and continue in power, by saying one thing and doing another. When any person or nation has the courage to challenge their inhuman policies, the Chinese just keep saying that they are a "worker's paradise." Does this remind you of any administration you know? Why, there is one alleged "Western Democracy" where a presidential candidate can lose by over half a million votes, and the royalist structure puts him in power. Exactly.
Humans can corrupt any ideal if they really try hard enough.
Calling a system something, and what it actually practices is two seperate things altogether. There are countries who claim to be democratic, but our leaders take us to war despite opposition to it by the people.
