I like living in a society where the police are approachable. Guns as well as being dangerous, would put another barrier in front of the civilian population.

BUT, I do believe they should have more non-lethal weapons. They are human beings with a right to protect themselves after all. And they dont get paid enough t risk their lives.
I'm sure that there are those who might agree with this. I don't because guns, for my belief, only exacerbate some problems. Gues feed into the male machismo in ways that are entirely unfathomable. Soem men, upon seeing guns, become that much more foolish, more likely to escalate an already volatile sitch.
Yes. By not doing so they're allowing criminals to be one step ahead, despite the fact that gun violence is still remarkably low in the UK.
