The only objection to the 15-year-old minimum came from Sen. Kay O'Connor, a Republican, who argued that pregnant teens might decide to have abortions if they were barred from marrying their sexual partners. Um, isn't this a tacit endorsement of the behavior that caused the pregnancy in the first place??

That is a bizarre bit of illogic. How appropriate that it came from a politician in Kansas.
Great Photo!
Hmmm ... why does this strike me as regressive ...? Are we traveling back in time ...?
As conservative I'd be tempted to be against that law, in order to support "traditional family values". That if I'd only knew what the hell does that mean today after you liberals rearanged them. :--)
I don't know if this is a violation of traditional family values but I do know that it is disgusting and irrational to allow 15 year olds to get married to adults. The state does not trust the judgement of 15yr olds enough to allow them to join the military, drink alcohol or even vote but the state thinks their ready to get married? It's abosolute nonsense.
