I once knew a guy who prided himself on his compassion and overall pacifist mentality but he openly declared he’d throw it all away to join the mafia if they’d have him.

No way! Once you're in, they never let you leave. At least thats how it looks when I've watched the Soprano's. Though it might seem kind of cool, I don't think I'd be cut out for it. I have too big of a mouth and would be rubbed out by someone.
