You know, I really don't know. I'm going to go with having loved and lost, because I've been there, and I got lucky that she dumped me at a point in my life where I wasn't too hurt by it (that and it was coming).

That said, I don't know how my life would have turned out had I never loved at all.

Depends on the nature of the loss.

* Love is taken from you (e.g., death of SO): You can cherish memories, although this may be bittersweet.

* Love is betrayed (SO leaves, due to their own choice): Leaves behind a lot of baggage.

* Love dies (e.g., you leave): Don't know about this one.

Overall, I'd say it is better to have regrets about what you did than what you didn't do.

never been in love...i'm glad for it, have seen people ruin their lives over "love"...i just pray to God i don't fall in love before i get married, that way i won't have to go through life without it and at the same time i'll be sure i'm with the one i LOVE...i know all planned out cool
