tv movies : POLICE ACADEMY: RUINED WITH SEQUELS, OR NOT ENOUGH?

Police Academy is being remade for release in 2007, with the same actors from the original (except David Graf aka Tackleberry, who died in 2000.)

I have heard both ways on this. Personally, I like the first three, and the Mission to Moscow one, but Police Academy 4, 5, and 6 seem like the same movie with different scenery.

Ruined with sequels
The first one was GREAT, but it was all downhill after that
Not enough sequels. I can't wait for the 2007 remake
I lost count.

COMMENTS:
The first few were amusing but then the jokes kept on repeating themselves in all the other sequels. The Gay bar joke. Mahoney getting that look on his face when he thinks of a prank to paly on Mouser. The man who made sound effects.
Tackleberry saying, "You'll do it NOW mister.." and then pulling out a gun...etc
