As of this ballot posting, the US Justice Department has dropped its investigation of the Bush Administration's warrantless spying on American citizens ...

... because the department being investigated (NSA) said Justice Department lawyers did not have the necessary security clearance to do the investigation.

CNN Commentator Jack Cafferty urges us to read that sentence last again: A secret government agency has told our Justice Department that it's not allowed to investigate it.

And the Justice Department just says ok and drops the whole thing.

Is this Democracy?

This is OK; 9/11 changed everything
This is inappropriate, at best
This is outrageous and attempts to undermine Democracy
We've come to expect this from the N.S.A.

In order to believe that Bush's America is a good thing you must just plain ignore the evidence. We are hemorrhaging rights at a pace that will very soon kill freedom entirely; we are asked to take everything on trust because Bush is "the decider;" etc, etc.

What you have to do in order to believe that Bush has been good for America is wrap your dashboards tight about your necks, and sleep.

Those aren't good enough. I don't believe your sources.

If this happened as your balllot claims it is certainly concerning. But I see no evidence that it actually did, or that you didn't mislead us with creative editing.

I can't help feeling as if there is more to this story than you're telling us.
