COMMENTS:
I'm not going *near* this one.
Hehe! this ballot is the B and W equivalent of a mousetrap! Whos going to go for the cheese first...?
Im not sure I can stand the tension anymore!
So how will *this* ballot demonstrate herzog's worldview?
a society that lives by the gun, dies by the gun. When no controls exist, are we truly surprised at the homicide rate in the US? Most guns in criminal hands came from legitimate sources, like peoples homes. The argument that because criminals have guns we all should have them is like saying Iran should have nuclear weapons because the US has them. The ultimate result is death all round.
Have you noticed that Duke has stopped allowing people to add entries to his ballots?
The purpose of this strawman eludes me.
PS: The world is not so black and white as 'law abiding citizens' vs 'gang members & felons.'
He probably stopped allowing it cranky because YOU sabotage his ballots.
'The purpose of this strawman eludes me.' Really? I thought it'd be pretty obvious. Steel: this wasn't a ballot about your stance on gun ownership, merely if it was hypocritical to regulate who get's them.
And most people seem to have made the right choice. So it is ok for some people to posses these weapons while denying the right of other people to posses the exact same weapons, based not on their opposition to the weapons in general, just on their opposition to the wrong people getting their hands on them. No hypocrisy here.
In the unfortunate case that the population are allowed access to guns, then yes, the police should be allowed to have guns as well. OR, you could just ban guns entirely, and stop the escalation in the first place. But that would be unconstitutional, right?
Is this ballot the equivalent of someone talking to himself?
herz: IMO, this far-fetched scenario in no way relates to the point you think you are making. I believe you are so intent on 'proving' the 'hypocrisy' that you perceive that you've stretched this attempt way beyond any logical breaking point.
Whatever cath, I'm beyond caring what you think. You've refused to actually answer any questions I've posed, have called me a liar so many times I stopped counting, deny evidence I've posted (or even that I have posted evidence) in blatant contradiction to the facts, and have generally acted trollish today.
^Perhaps a Midol might help, herzog...
I would like to put in a choice that yes its hypocritical and therefore no-one should have guns. Unfortunately I can't add my own choice for some reason - shurely shome mishtake?
