Yes and no, but more no. It's addictive, but I could've refused to be on the site for as long as I have, and dammit, I like being on the site.
Yes, in truth I started spending vast amounts of time on this site when I was depressed, which didnt help me one bit.
Ive now realised that you CAN spend too much time on the internet, and try to limit my doses somewhat.

I’ve learned lots of things since I first came here (Like the importance of accountability). I like the fact that people call each other on their BS here and usually don’t hold back. If people take the time and keep an open mind they can learn a lot from this site. If they waste their time it’s probably due more to a lack of insight than useful information.
Nah, it gave me a place to come WHILE I was making money. Otherwise maybe I jump on every now and then when my son is sleeping... I don't consider it wasted time.
Oh I used to be on a lot at night/morning with insomia... in which this site is nice to meet other insomniacs ;)
Not at all! This is one of the few web sites I can go to as it is and, I've learned a lot from many of the other people on B&W. Lots of stuff I didn't know, I picked up by reading people's comments and ballots. Look at this way: chat rooms are dangerous, mysapce is dangerous, if you have a blog, freaks come and post things. At least on here, for the MOST part, the people are normal and everyone gets along really well. Not a waste of time at all.
I don't think you're wasting anybody's time. If people thought this site was a waste of time, they wouldn't come back. And if they did come back, and still thought it was a waste of time, they're the ones wasting their own time, not you.
You gave us all a site to come to for free therapy... no matter what it seems we are looking for; it's here! ;)

Without a carthartic outlet, the last five years would have moved me to violence.

No! We love it here. It is an highly entertaining website, something a lot of the web hasn't learned how to do yet.
Yes, I've wasted countless hours on B&W when I should have been downloading Internet porn. I have a 160 gig hard drive to fill up, you know.

hey - if you're gonna waste time - you're gonna waste it one way or another. making friends and having something to do rather than obsess over my petty problems doesn't strike me as a waste of time any way. sometimes its good to just chill for a bit.
oh yeah.... and the free therapy bit too...
You cannot waste others' time. If a person makes a choice to visit this site and spend/waste time, it is their decision, not yours.
I find that B&W expands my consciousness by requiring me to think about issues and consider the perspectives of many others.
Definitely not a waste of time in my book.
