COMMENTS:
depends on the person's capabilities. i have to admit that there have been times that i've leaned more toward a guy if i know he's gay. not saying that in terms of politics, but yeah, if a gay man runs, i'm much more apt to relate to him. if he proves to be unqualified or not worthy for what ever reason, then no, i would not vote for him. homogenous groups tend to gravitate to each other.
Very possibly. Let's say I live somewhere in the United States. Houston, Texas, say. I'm a lifelong Republican, who has never voted for a non-white person in my life. In the next mayoral election, the Republican candidate represents the platform of the party, but happens to be Hispanic. The Democrat happens to be a conservative, but also white. If, for the first time in my life, I switch my vote to the Democratic candidate, I think it's probably safe to say there is some racism involved.
Hmmm ... an unusually fairly worded ballot ... Now this is the herzog I remember! We may disagree on things, but at least we can deal with realities and not spin ... ! Welcome back, old friend!
Yes, it's racist. Racism is believing that your race is supreme to others and that other races should be held to different standards. So yes, that is in fact racist.
i have to admit that there have been times that I've leaned more toward a guy if i know he's gay by Kev24 I do too kev, I think I feel they will understand and represent gays better, blacks and other minorities might do for the same reason, I don't think that is racist, I'm sure some whites vote for white candidates for same reasons.
^ They would have to have other qualities, I wouldn't vote for a gay person if he said he wanted to invade Canada.
Humans are naturally racist. You tend to always lean towards those who relate to you. It's because you know that they're more like you and you can relate with them. It's a mild form of racism and as long as it doesn't harm anyone, it's ok.
Yes. You should vote for them based on where they stand on the issues. I noticed cranky once again is incapable of answering the ballot question. It is the same old silly stuff, calling someone a racist, slandering Texans, etc. Quite similar to a user by the name of Barbara_baby_cakes. Oops, I didn't say that did I?
ANY decision taken based upon skin color is racist. But you knew that.
Just no, as long as you've voted for the best lifeform for the job. If you were dumb enough to vote based on skin color alone, then you deserve to be taken out back and shot with rubber bands until dead.
Fiddle: You'll notice, if you read carefully, that I did answer the ballot question. I'm sorry if my response was too nuanced for you. And, you'll also notice, that I left the course of action open. I didn't say that the hypothetical individual would go one way or the other. That's hardly slander. And as for the Barbara Baby Cakes reference: I've noticed that when certain people get really frustrated with another poster they start accusing them of being someone else. As if it mattered, anyway. Very sad.
