COMMENTS:
Perhaps if they were more concerned with keep their children alive and letting them have good, peaceful lives, they wouldn't have so many problems.
Masada He really needs to study history. Masada
If the allies hadnt sacrificed their children during the great wars, where would we be now? It depends whether you think you are fighting for a just cause or not, which is of course subjective.
If people feel good about giving up their children for whatever reason then good luck them. For me, my children are the most important thing in the world. So I shall be convincing them not to join the army to fight illegal wars, for example.
Ask Bush. He's sacrificed 2,400 children of the American nation, not to mention the thousands terribly wounded, or the tens of thousands of children of Iraq for his honor. Once again, all ultra-conservatives are similar, regardless of the myths they spin.
You'll note, of course, that Bush isn't willing to sacrifice his OWN children, nor would any other neo-con.
Have you got any children, Herz?
The willingness of *A* people to fight for a common survival goal...it's no worse than anything that I can think of.Fighting for anything less than that can be attributed to mass-conditioned insanity,or weeding of the weaklings for you evolutionists. Religeon is *not* something to fight for or over, nor is the belief that one has the right to another's land.
Of course there's always sacrificing *other* people's children to protect your own. I'm sure this type of thing isn't unique with humans, nature must have many such examples. As such one could infer that it has always been in the cards.
If you're willing to throw away the lives of your children for your nation, then *who inherits your nation when you're dead*?
I truly believe that respect for life is more important. Compassion is superior to passion.
Sacrificing your children, especially by sending them off to war or other violence, is not IMO a national strength.
