Maybe a little bit of chavinism in there steel? Europe makes some good cars, some crappy ones, just like the US and japan. Europe makes plenty of fast, flashy ones that look nice but aren't all that useful. For rugged, utilitarian models at a decent price you'll want to go to america or japan. Unless you want to argue that the geo-metro blows all other competition out of the water?
Depends on what you're looking for in a car. For fast, luxurious, and pompous cars that nobody could afford but everybody lusts after as if they think they're going to own one someday, it's Europe. For gas-guzzling SUVs that give you bullying rights to all those wimpy non-SUVs, it's America. For little, weak POSs that will be plaguing our roads for eons because they last fuckin forever and people could afford to drive them a lot because they get a million MPG, it's Japan.
Europe with out a doubt makes the best cars
A beautiful thing is a beautiful thing. Like one can appreciate a beautiful painting or sculpture. With the possible exception of the Ford Mustang and the Corvette, the US cannot hold a candle to the Aston Martin DB9, the Ferrari or indeed the Massaratti for purely astheticism.
But, for that manly low mileage, you just can't beat an American car.
The Europeans arent short in producing petrol guzling vehicles.
Considering that the two cars I lust for the most are Jags and Beemers...
I prefer European cars as they are the coolest, but the Japanese cars are the most reliable and affordable.

I should have restricted the ballot to purely those cars that make the heart beat faster. We all know that the Japanese make the best runarounds, but for pure majesty, the Italians, the Germans and the British make the most beautiful cars.
Yeah, those French and Italians make great cars. NOT!
You are joking, the Italians make absolutely beautiful cars.
Here's the challenge, guys! Bring your fave car to my tropical island. It gets to function it's overly-electronic system in a saline atmosphere (it'll LOVE you for THAT!) It'll be fed a diet of crap gasoline (dubious and fluctuating octane ratings!) There'll be no White Boy factory-trained technician-mechanics to give it its regular 5,000-mile checkup, and any parts it needs will probably be generic. Give it to me for a year to drive on THESE roads, in THIS heat, and you come back for it after a decent rainy season..to check it out! THEN WE'LL SEE WHAT YOUR FANCY EUROPEAN CAR'S STILL LIKE. (styling an all!) And this is where the Japs are pissing all over the Eurpeans, Brits and Amerikinz, for sheer Third World, Less Than Perfect durability and survivability!
steel: beauty is in the eye of the beholder isn't it? Besides which, there are more characteristics to a good automobile than simply looks. You've just taken the one quality in which you believe your cars excel at and decided that is the only relevent quality. As I recall there are other concerns, like price (so all those poor workers you keep going on about can actually get one), safety (so those poor workers aren't left to the mercy of the uncaring healthcare system quite so often), gas milage (so the enviroment isn't destroyed so you can drive around in your toy sportscar), durability (so your poor workers don't spend all their free time/money fixing up their shiny, but ultimately non-functional automobile) etc. You might favor a gas-guzzling, inoperable, but pretty deathmobile. But for the rest of us other details are just as important, if not more so, than looks.
Not everything is about money and politics, lighten up man. Anyway in a socialist world, everyone could have the car of their dreams
I thought everyone would have the exact same car.
They all have their strengths. My new dream car is the 'Alfa Romeo Brera.' Check it out, its beautiful.
Kind of a moot point in the global village, isn't it? Honda, Toyota and BMW make most of thier cars in the United States (Kentucky and Tennesse for the most part). The USA is thier biggest market, so its better for them to be built right here. Ford owns Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Aston Martin and GM owns Saab and Opel, Daewoo and Hyundai. Who's to say who makes the best cars since globalization muddies the waters quite a bit. Even a car built in Japan, and not too many are any more, is probably filled with parts made in Germany, England or the United States. The question should not be which country makes the best cars, for obvious reasons, but should be what COMPANY makes the best cars.
^ ha, good point.
yea I agree patch22us makes a real good point
Very good point patch, I was gonna say something of that nature before I saw your comment. BTW, General Motors makes the best variety of long lasting vehicles in the world.
Japan makes better cars than anyone else in terms of reliability, then comes the US with Europe in a close third (check the facts). BMW is just about as reliable as the Japanese brands. The nicest luxury cars are European. I get to drive a lot at work and my favorites are the Mercedes. I haven't had the pleasure of driving a Maybach or Rolls-Royce yet. For just pure aesthetics, Europe takes the cake.
europe if you want style and performance or a landrover. japan for technology, performance and reliability. america if you have a small penis and need to compenstate with a hoofing great 8.0l.
