As powerfully tempting as that might be ... no. I sacrificed much and/or paid very high prices at various points of my life. And while some knowledge/ experience came at a high cost, the fact is ... it came. Ultimately, I would choose to retain even the unpleasant. No one can appreciate the term 'bittersweet' without such experience.
I agree with the mad professor :o) I've learned some important lessons from my bad memories.
Yes, I've often thought of something like this. Instead of resorting to drugs and alcohol, you could resort to a pill or something that has just a few side-effects or none.
see, i wouldnt take that pill because my painful memories makes me who i am today but on the flip side of that some people that are really sick like child molesters, rapists or the ones with other sick fetishes may be into that kind of stuff from a past bad memory so if they took the pill and their bad memories or memory disappeared maybe that would cure them of their sick ways
I'd hang onto every memory, painful or not. It made me who/what I am.
