Why is it taking so long to get 6,000 troops on the border? IMO, there should already be at least 3,000 troops on the border by now, if not all 6,000.

It takes time to round up troops that can go to the border

Probably 'cause most of 'em are in Iraq aren't they? Weren't National Guardsmen even called for Iraq duty? So I guess it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that it's slow.

No, there's still plenty of National Guard reservists here in the US.

Mystical, it takes them a while to transport all of the equipment, shelter, food, etc...there. Plus they have to organize supply lines and everything else. It's not as easy as it sounds.
