COMMENTS:
I never said they were PETA members...just vegans...
You loathe PETA because?? ??
^ yes, why do you loathe PETA, Psycho_Frighead? I would think you'd support them, seeing as you hate the victimization of children. (Animals being even more helpless, IMO.)

You love them for their work and their hot bods, not what they put in them. Just don't wear that T-bone steak around your neck when you go out with them, okay?
You loathe PETA because?? ?? by observer on Jun 12, 2006 9:48am ^ yes, why do you loathe PETA, Psycho_Frighead? I would think you'd support them, seeing as you hate the victimization of children. (Animals being even more helpless, IMO.) Probably because they compare the slaughter of animals for meat to the Holocaust, they routinely destroy property (the splashing of red paint on fur coats), and routinely harass and threaten to beat up people going into fast-food restaurants, among other things.
"Probably because they compare the slaughter of animals for meat to the Holocaust" The PETA is more concerned about the condition that these slaughter facilities are kept in when holding the chickens, cows, whatever. What Perdue, Tyson and your household meat farms do is they have no care towards the animals before they kill them. These animals are kept it horrible conditions, sometimes hundereds of them are fit into a small room, they're stepped on, simply tortured. The same is done to cows and any other animal that's prepared to go to the slaughter. I'm not asking anyone to become a vegiterian, I'm simply saying that these corporate monsters should think before they act. They should make animal cruelty some kind of priority.
^ read this again, give it a minute of your valuable time. A lot of good people would not accept what happens in meat factories if they had to witness it. (this is an aside from joking on PETA, I'm sorry. But some fruit needs to speak for animals.)

I have nothing wrong with the ethical treatment of animals. What I have a problem with is the measures they will go to. I have nothing against veganism, just radical veganism. I am not a radical when it comes to anti-spanking (though I know many who are). But when someone comes up to your table in Applebee's and puts what appears to be used toilet paper on your steak because they don't appreciate you eating meat, that is getting ridiculous (and yes, a PETA member has done that to me.) I did not mean to offend anyone, but it's not like I put peanut butter on toilet paper and throw it at people who spank their children...
yah, extremists will hurt Any cause, and that's a shame.

The difference is that children are humans, and animals are not.
