Actually, it is not that hard to leg press 2000 lbs. Pat apparently did it on a leg press machine. This is not the same as a "squat" of Olympic fame. A squat of 2000 lbs would be, I think, a world record. A machine press of 2000 lbs does not require a person to balance the weight or control it with the knees. After several weeks on a leg machine, I've seen first time lifters get 1000 lbs. Truly! And the 2000 I saw Roberts pushing never brought his knees to 90 degrees -- it was just basically a "lock out" press -- which any average weightlifter could do. So, I believe the man, as far as this goes. He is still a stupid, mean-spirited, crazy as a loon, piece of cosmic dung.
I think he's cutting himself a little short. After all with his shakes and his connections with the big guy upstairs anything should be possible. I think he should give a give a demonstration of his amazing ability to leg-press 20,000 (that's right, 10 tons - God said he could do it).
I'd like to see someone drop 2,000 pounds on him.
And I want Jimmy Swaggert and Benny Hinn as his spotters. That way, if he can't manage it, we've gotten rid of three with one shot...
^Yeah, Benny Hinn should be in on it. That way, if Pat gets a hernia, Benny can just smack him on the head and scream "HEAL!" and fix him right up.
