What with the onslaught of Indian Casinos; one would be hardpressed to find a state in the US where gambling is still illegal. At one time in the history of the US, many people thought gambling was immoral. What say you? Is gambling immoral, or not?

Whether or not gambling is immoral depends upon your beliefs, attitudes, and values.

Just about any human activity is considered immoral by some person, group, religion, or government.

My definition of "immoral" is a behavior or practice which intentionally inflicts harm on others without their consent.

And I know there are holes in that definition, but it works in a general sense, for me.

Its pretty stupid but its not immoral. Unless your betting on how many people get killed in the next blahblah attack. Or betting on animal fights.

No, despite the Religious Right's puritanical persepctives.

That being said, I'll also admit I can't get into it. I know too much Probability & Statistics to throw my money away on the hope that I'll be the exception.
