i am a certified phlebotomist and one time my dad was in the hospital he needed his blood to be taken and the lady couldnt find his vain and so my dad was like "look lady you got one more chance and if you dont get it you will have to step aside and let my daughter do it" and then the lady got it but it made me feel really good that my dad had trusted me to put a needle in his arm so my question to you is have you ever gave blood?

I gave blood continuously in the UK for several years....

THEN (drama)... I moved to the US and tried to give blood about 10 years ago, via the Red Cross and other charitable organizations.

Horror of horrors!: My blood was deemed UNACCEPTABLE and unworthy because I had lived and breathed within the country of Great Britain in the 1980s - the Mad Cow Years - shudder, shudder, shock.

Yeah, even though I was totally straight, vegetarian and completely OFF all forms of meat at the time - Mad or otherwise.

If you're one of those lucky people who can give blood without endless interrogation by authorities, than good luck to you.

If not, then good luck to you, also.
