COMMENTS:
I'm not afraid, but I just HATE walking into banks. More to do with the piles of paperwork and the plastic smiles of the tellers than anything else. Gimme an ATM anyday.
Yes, I want the gold standard. I don't like paper money.
Big banks drive inflation. I do not believe we should return to the gold standard though we should let the marker pick the monetary system, rather than politicians and bankers.
Yes, because the "tribe" that runs them will try and screw you down to the last penny if given a chance.
Damn! My bank is good to me.
When I was a child, I heard someone ask the question 'who is the real criminal - he who robs a bank or he who owns one?' As a naive kid, the answer was obvious. He who robs the bank is the criminal. Now I'm not so sure. Except in some cases, such as the Swiss banks who kept the gold of Jews murdered in the second world war.
Yes, for Reasons #3 and 5.
'Except in some cases, such as the Swiss banks who kept the gold of Jews murdered in the second world war.' Yes, keithsheen and the European banks who ran off with the Tsar's fortune, and the Romanov jewels. It's easy to see who the real crooks are. Add to that the wealth of nations in Africa, India and the like and it all adds up, horribly.
I'm not afraid of them. Nor do I trust them. Money is the root of all evil.
