DO YOU THINK METALLICA WILL EVER CREATE GOOD MUSIC AGAIN?

I have been wondering this. St. Anger was absolutely horrible, despite every effort radio stations made to play the songs that album stunk something fierce.

They are also horrible live, even when they try to play their old stuff. The drummer seems to think he's a punk rock drummer, pounding away with no rhythm at all, and the guitar sounds more acoustic than the great fast ripping chords they are famous for, and lead vocals, geesh, where do I even start with that?

So can Metallica ever get back to good music again or is it over for them?

Yes, they will someday produce good music again
No, it's over, they had their run, it won't happen again.
Again? They never have.

COMMENTS:
I dont know. I loved their first few albums. Then they got too generic sounding and people hated them. I think they might have made St. Anger to try and get back to their roots, but it backfired on them because it was so bad.

The only even remotely tolerable single they ever produced was "Enter Sandman," meaning in all this time they've turned out exactly one more slightly useful song than the Spice Girls ever did.

I disagree, the Master of Puppets album was inspired.
