I didn't drive much mor ethan absolutely necessary (commute, etc.) before, so this hasn't decreased my usual rate.
Basically what Cathexis said. I've always walked if the distance is manageable -- for example, picking up something from the drugstore nearby.

Never driven much to begin with, only when the need is immediate and can't be circumvented with a handy-dandy bus or plane.

Stop being a gang of misers, lol, In the UK it's the equivelent of about $8 a gallon. If you're gonna kill the planet with your fumes, at least pay the same for the privilage, just like the rest of us. :o)

What IC said... even though Aus uses the metric system, it's the equivalent of $6 a gallon. You cheap yank bastardos!
Mainly because of the hideous traffic here, which I hate.
The US has it easy, price-wise, compared to Britain and Aus., though.
