COMMENTS:
Personally, I balk at the idea of killing intelligent, sentient creatures.
I see how it used to be useful.. but now we're in The Modern Times.. where we have inventions and science and knowledge of how smart those whales are.

And I recently read an article about how most Japanese hate the taste and texture of whale meat (very fatty with an unpleasant bouquet). However, many still want legal whale-hunting in Japan simply because they don't like anyone telling them what they can and cannot do. IMO, banning the hunting of whales is an example of a GOOD regulation. When you come right down to it, who's the more endangered species - whales or humans?

But I wouldn't mind if the whales could shoot back...
The entire idea of whaling is stupid, IMO. I don't think that there's *anything* that comes out of a whale that you can't create in a lab.
we have no need for their oil anymore, which is why they were hunted to near extiction, but dont tell GWB they have oil :)

Some native Alaskan tribes are dependent for survival on whaling. In general for others... no.
Whales certainly have larger brains than whalers. I think we should permit whales to hunt whalers. Not Bob Marley's group, of course.
No, it's awful. The Japanese would hunt them to extinction of out arrogance, if they could.
It's an abomination.
Voted : ITS SOOOOOOOO WRONG!!!!!!
We're messing up the whole world and all you can do is sit on your bum and do nufin bout it, WE NEED TO DO SUMTHIN NOW!!!
