For the year 2006 it was predicted that the United States would spend more on its military than the entire world combine (Not including Iraq and Afgan wars which equal about 150 billion total). 2006: U.S. military spending- 518 billion World without USA- roughly 460 billion To put this into perspective China is in second place with spending that equals 81 billion. France- 45 Japan- 44 Great Britian- 42 and so on... I'm not trying to cause anger with anyone in this ballot but I have a serious question that I would like to get people's oppinions on. The question is...U.S. defense budget total equals about three quarters of a trillion dollars. This includes that 518 billion plus the 150 billion of the Iraq and Afgan war. Not to mention other expenses. About 650 to 700 billion. The "military industrial complex" which is the war corporations made about 750 billion in one year. So technically in a way the U.S. makes a lot of money on war. About the same as the yearly defense budget. So will this cause the U.S.A. to wage countless wars in the years to come since it is profitable. O by the way in case you were wondering I don't just sit around researching these things all day. If you go to google videos and type in "Why we fight" you will get a high quality video that was in theaters not to long ago. It basically talks about all this crap. Real good video.
