Ashli R. Freas, 22, was charged Monday with child endangerment after taking her son to a hospital. She was released Tuesday on $10,000 bond. According to a police affidavit, Freas and her boyfriend took her son to a party at an apartment. They went outside, leaving the boy inside with another adult. The apartment's leaseholder noticed that his roll of SweeTarts, which had been laced with the hallucinogenic drug, was open and that nine candies were missing. Freas took her son home, then to the hospital after he began hallucinating. Chris Van Deusen, spokesman for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, said the boy will be placed in a foster home after he's released from the hospital. i mean come on what kind of messed up parent whould take your child to a party i think this lady and her boyfriend need to be placed in jail for the rest of their lives i dont think it is a harsh enough punishment just to have her child taken away, obvious she could careless cuz left him unsupervised at a party that he should have not even have went to in the first place, do you think that this punishment is to easy or to harsh or does it just fit the crime?? to harsh of a punishment she needs the death chair her kid being taken away does justice she got off easy, she didnt want the kid anyway She needs to be bitch-slapped - hard! enforce the laws!!
