^I really don't see how America's presence in Iraq is one of the greatest threats to world peace.Do you really think Al Qeada is winning many recruits because of the Iraq war?
Only the short-sighted think this.
Iraq? haha, right :p People's strugglin' for resources has hardly started.. someday this little Holy War'll seem like nothing.

Shit!! You could have warned me! *dives for cover*
Certainly its ONE of the biggest.
"Voted to authorize action in Iraq" To me, this speaks volumes. I'm confused as to what this man expected when going into Iraq? That it would be easy??? We were told leading up to our deployment that in no way would this be easy, and it really hasn't been, it's been scary, dangerous, yet rewarding and educational. It is unreal that anyone would recommend a politically activated 'cut and run' policy in Iraq. Does anyone here know how long we were an occupational force in Germany following WWII? Does anyone care to venture a guess? Does anyone care to know what the newspapers and media and so called 'peace activists' said about that occupation in 1945 and on?
John Murtha said that or was it Bin Laden? : )
Oh how sad it is to witness a marine delve to such a depth for political gain. Continue running your mouth Mr. Murtha, providing aid and comfort to our enemies as the blood of our soldiers will surely not wash from your hands with ease.

What was it we went into Iraq for? WMDs? Nope, weren't any. To get rid of Saddam, the bad guy? But conservatives loved him, until he threatened the oil supply in the early 90s. Oh, now I get it. Dick Cheney, Halliburton, oil. And I'm sure the intent is to occupy Iraq for a long, long time. The oil reserves there are huge. And isn't it funny that even though oil production is almost back to pre-war levels, Iraqis have to wait in line up to 12 hours to get gasoline?
Bad idea, but not the greatest threat by a long shot.
I do agree. It has been fueling violent opposition and providing cover for such groups as it never has previously. What a gift to the radicals ... an arrogant US power invading Middle East land ... if bin Laden celebrated Christmas, this must have been his favorite present. NK is a hype dup threat. Yes, there is danger ... yes, it can be managed.
What are you talking about Cathexis the radical Islamist have been fighting against the West since the late 70's,the current spring of attacks has nothing to do with the war in Iraq.I know this because the Iraq insurgency is mostly made up of native Iraqis and not foreign fighters. As for N.korea I think you have seriously played down that threat.Yes N.Korea is probably the third biggest threat to world peace with terrorism being the first and Iran being the second, however N.Korea has shown in the past that it is willing and able to attack western allies in the region. The fool underestimates his enemies Cathexis.
Yeah I think Noam Chomsky laid this one out a while back... history lesson: only country to be prosecuted in Internationl Court for terrorist acts? drumbeat... ya us.
^Proof of that courts lack of justice.
^ Yeah coz America doesn't do nothing wrong.
^No but the World Court doesn't do anything right. Why aren't they prosecuting the government of Sudan for their cooperation in genocide.I guess they're to busy bashing America to care.
Voted : I agree
First it was the danger of the WMD's, but as soon as that was proven to be complete nonsense it became the sudden interest for the Iraqi people's well being in their battle against their oppressor SH (while the US did not care a single sh !t about the Iraqi population for many decades, as long as the oil tap remained open and Iraq bought US weaponry) Talking about the danger of worldwide oblivion : what about the US, where an apparent nutcase - elected by religious simpletons - keeps his finger near to a certain red button, with which he can destroy the entire world three times over. A country that already twice used nukes during military activities , in both cases against mainly millions of non-participating CIVILIANS, with hundreds of thousands resulting innocent victims. Americans should stop looking from their small little local window at life, and start seeing the greater picture most of us see
