political : ACTIVIST JUDGES VS SIGNING STATEMENTS

For years, I have heard conservatives decry so-called 'activist judges,' claiming they attempted to 'legislate from the bench,' subverting the Legislative branch.

However, I hear little outcry from the so-called conservative sector about the blatant attempts of the Executive branch to subvert the Legislative branch.

Why is an 'Activist Judge' bad but a presidential 'Signing Statement' good?

Yes. I too, have pondered that particular double standard and wondered why there isn't more of an outcry in Congress.

Are they really that intimidated?

president can sign a bill about anti gun law, with the statement that says "only valid on wet tuesdays, with winds out of southeast and full moon rising"

rediculous. no wonder he NEVER vetoed anything in 6 years. Snake that he is, he found a another slimy way around the law.
