This idea would be beneficial because: 1) Arabs in the West Bank and Gaza Strip would no longer have to be under Israeli rule. 2) Unlike the two-state solution, Israel would not be faced with a new nation-state hostile to its borders and existence. 3) The Egyptian and Jordanian nations-states are also Arabic and culturally have a lot in common with 'Palestinians'. There is a sense of sympathy and kinsmanship between Jordanian and Egyptian people toward 'Palestinian' people, and vice versa. 4) The Egyptian and Jordanian governments are relatively on good relations with both Israel and the Western powers. Both have recognised Israel's right to exist and its borders. Both are strategic partners of the West. Both also have relatively good economies in the region and this would be good for development in those regions. 5) The very idea of a 'Palestinian' nation-state was a superficial invention by the British and French colonists anyway. After the collapse of the Ottaman empire- Britain and France divided the Arab region into sectors that suited their interests. 'Palestine' emerged as one of them. What do you think of this idea?
