WOULD YOU CLASS YOURSELF AS A CONSERVATIVE OR A NON CONSERVATIVE?

Using the loosest possible terms, in which group would you put yourself?

The reason I ask, is that this site is usually accused of bais toward non conservatism.

Hopefully this would settle the argument of where this site is leaning.

I'm a conservative
I'm not a conservative

I consider myself to be an independent conservative, which should not be confused with being a Republican.

Conservative on what? The traditional political sense?

LCB & Jappy: I did say in this loosest sense to incorporate all, left and right.

Non-conservative? As in wasteful, or what?

That's a hard place for me to put myself.

I'm not conservative in terms of my worldview toward people, my lack of religious inclination, and several other factors. However, in a personal paradox, I'm strongly conservative in my personal moral views. I think that there's too much sex in the public domain, and I think that marriage ought to be a sacred institution (in which couples straigght or gay can enter equally).
by Truthseeker013 on Tue Jul 04, 06 11:44am [+]

I don't really even think about categorising myself.

Given your views Soc, I would say you lean to the right.

Steelhamster- despite that I always vote left. As much as I think leftism is inconsistent and flawed, I believe that they have good intentions nonetheless. They at least mean well. The right wing on the other hand *shudders*, as much as I might agree with some of their logic, they tend to be more immoral and hateful it seems to me, especially in terms of foreign policy. So while I may agree with some right-wing logic, I find some of their sentiment to be disagreeable. As much as I may disagree with some leftism, I genuinely find their leaders to be driven more by good-will- I therefore find them to be more trustworthy. The right also seems more inclined to dirty politics and trying to discredit an opponent on a personal level- both toward the left and toward competition within their own party. This displays a lot about their character to me and how trustworthy they are.

I passionately believe in my views. I may seem rabid, but I feel I am right given my upbringing and experiences.
by Steelhamster on Sun Jul 09, 06 5:45pm [+]

Steelhamster - yes, that's what I mean. The Left is at least sincere.
