COMMENTS:
I'm not a big fan of Hillary's because I think she panders to polls too much. Then again ... maybe we need some of that.

I think she'd be a uniter, over all, as was her husband. Both Clintons seem very good at negotiating, listening, and crafting compromises.

No ideology gets everything they want, but overall, the most good often goes to the most people, from such an approach.

And the least harm is done to the fewest people.

Something that has been absent for many years.

She would unite the states with the third world. _Beelzebubba_BJ

Let's see:

Hell would freeze over.

Monkeys would fly out of my ass.

Elvis will turn out to be alive and release a new number one single.

A herd of invisible rifle shooting marskmen aliens will suddenly make themselves visible on the grassy gnoll and admit that they, yes, did kill JFK.

Honestly, I don't understand the reasoning behind ANY democrat who would WANT Hillary Clinton to run for president, much less win the Democratic ticket.

She polarizes many people with her disgusting attitude, her scowling seething teeth grinding behavior, and lest one forgets, the whole 'stand by your man' bit shouldn't bide well with her supposedly 'feminist' viewpoints, that now, oddly enough, she is trying to hide.

What kind of rock would someone have to be living under to believe that she would unite people in the United States??? Nearly EVERYONE has opinions about her that are either good or, in most case, bad, there is NO in between, I have never heard anyone say "hmm, I don't know how I feel about her." and THAT folks is the very definition of a divider.

"She polarizes many people with her disgusting attitude."

Hahahah!! Love the irony. Substitute the pronoun, and you're talking about GWB.

by mojo on Thu Jul 13, 06 9:38am [+]

jappy: I disagree.

You are focusing solely on people's existing reactions to her.

I am looking at her actions.

The results are interesting Half think she will be a divider and half a uniter. Almost the same who thought this of Bush in 2004.

Shows the division in the US.

"Hahahah!! Love the irony. Substitute the pronoun, and you're talking about GWB."

You are misrepresenting the very idea of 'irony', considering that in order for it to be ironic, would mean that in some way something that I didn't expect to be true were in fact true.

What is totally hilarious to me is this: Any time there is any topic that comes up involving politics of any kind, why do you bring up Bush to every conservative on this site?

In answer to this particular one, this is not irony considering that yes, Bush does polarize, however, consider something, the candidate who runs opposite the 'polarizing' candidate becomes polarizing himself, Kerry also polarized. Why bring that up when we are talking about Hillary Clinton anyway?

Why not try and convince people that Hillary is not a polarizing figure, the hilarity of someone trying to defend that position is something I am REALLY REALLY looking forward to.

So let me know when you want to talk about how Hillary will unite the nation with her special brand of politics, I'm firing up the microwave, getting the popcorn ready for this load of bull :)
by jappy on Thu Jul 13, 06 3:09pm [+]

jappy: I think you may be answering a different question.

the question was not "Will Hillary unite the nation" -- a prediction of outcome, but "Will Hillary be a uniter or divider" -- a prediction of her approach.

I completely agree with you that Hillary is a polarizing figure. But I do not believe she would govern from a polarized position.

That, of course, is just my opinion. But the differenc ein the nature of the question is important.

huh?

You said ironic as though I don't know that GW Bush polarizes. I know he does. I was merely mentioning that with Hillary you could hardly expect anything different, regardless of the politics. :)

People only think we're in trouble. Let Hillary and her VP Obama get elected and the last vestige of hope for a saner America is history.
