A chess game; unfortunately, citizens of several countries (including their own) are the pawns.

They sound actually human... is that a problem?
Obviously not then FF...
All this "affirms a crass and unintelligent poseur" posing only applies if we are talking about Conservatives. ne? ne?
dazz: Nonsense -- crass is crass ... doesn't matter who does it.
mojo, you give them too much credit. Chess is a game of intelligence, something in short supply here.
Oh, you left out, "Who was under the desk?".
Yes, it is a problem. It just shows how rude and ill-mannered Bush is. So yeah, I have an issue with it. Not surprised YOU don't. ;)
"They sound actually human." No, Bush sounds like an idiot. And yes, that's a problem.
Power is all that sets them apart from everyone, they're no better or worse than the Average of the rest of us.. The difference in them is their Power, power they wanted and power we gave them! :D

OMG! He said a bad word! Politicians talk under the table like this all the time. And have done so every since there's been politicians. In fact, more of their job gets done behind the scenes than in their office. The only difference is that they got caught on tape this time. Big freakin' deal. I've worked with politicians before and I'll be the first to say that Bush and Blair's comments were VERY mild in comparison to some of the other things I've heard.
They spoke casually. This isn't surprising to me.
What startled me the most is Bush's apparent simplistic perception of the MidEast situation. "... get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this shit and it's all over"?!? Syria is just one player in this conflict. Israel, Hamas, and Hezbollah all have their own hardcore agendas. Trying to boil it down to just Syria is yet another black- or- white perception that tries to make things simpler than they really are.
i love bush "as a person" not as a president on the president scale on 1-10. 10 being reagan 1 being carter----i give bush a 4
