COMMENTS:
I don't mind frames, but there are a lot of things I see, especially on amateur sites, that drive me nuts. Bright, garish colors, excessive use of animation, too many Java applets, dark text on dark backgrounds, and worst of all, annoying MIDI music that you can't shut off.
large margins suck, and designers are generally up their own arses.
