Total agreement with "Felix" above. Shy people are a true discovery and tend to be deeper than the norm... :-) ... They are shy for a reason and will come out of it when they should. Time is more than the passing of days to these people... it is an accumulation of knowledge and experience.
Christ! That's nothing to be ashamed about. Everybody's social skills develop at a different rate. Some people are like a game show host at 12 and others don't have any confidence or self esteem until later. YOUR ATTITUDE is what makes the teenage years so traumatic. The pressure to "be like everybody else" and "fit in" is enormous. Instead of understanding her situation, people like YOU judge them and put them down. How are these people supposed to be social, if the "in crowd" people like you are always putting them down? Why don't YOU invite her to hang out with your friends and try to help her along. Show some COMPASSION will you.
I'm pleased to see some surprisingly astute comments. However, the decision to make the ballot open was probably a poor one. How many crude statements will make that list?

I'm 17 and I'm still dealing with that. She's young, still got plenty of time. That or maybe I'm a loser, and that's the reason.
Don't worry about it. She'll find the right guy. She should just be herself, so she finds the guy who likes who she truly is.
I'm 20 and i havnt even been kissed a girl, well on the check but that doesnt count. She just hasnt meet the right guy yet theres nothing wrong with that.
